Red white and blue too

I don't apologize for being a proud, flag waving, standing for the national anthem American.

The picture is me in basic training in Fort Sill, Ok in 1976.  I grew up during the Vietnam war.  We were taught to pray for our troops.  We prayed before every meal and about every prayer, I remember included a version of "and bless our boys in Vietnam"  My hero growing up wasn't some movie star, athlete, politician or some other celebrity, it was my uncle Jack Robinson who voluntarily served a few tours with the marines in Vietnam.  I am proud to be a member of the high school graduating class of 1976, our nations bicentenial.  My plan was to join the USMC when I graduated.  The war ended and I chose the Army National Guard instead.  I believe America is the greatest country on earth and that God has used America to do more good and defend freedom more than any other country that has ever existed.  I don't like real long posts, so that's it for now.

God bless America, land that I love!
