MrOT wants members to think about something.
All these graphics being posted about famous sayings by famous people are cute and all...and in fact, if MrOT had to describe TT in a phrase it would be the "cute graphics" forum. However...... a cute graphic with no documentation is just a cute graphic. This sort of well intentioned but mindless hoohaw is an open invitation to psychotrolls to invade and do massive mischief.
Case in point: The Sanger Sayings....
The day book. (Chicago, Ill.) 1911-1917, March 13, 1915
Below and scrolling quickly because of the huge numbers of cute saying graphics is one which has a photo of the infamous Maragaret Sanger saying, "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."
It's cute and all....but where is the documentation? The link? Why should I or anyone believe this is actually true? Because a cute graphic says so?
Only morons take cute graphics at face value.
So happens I have documentation..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Sanger
See? That's all it takes. POST A BLAMED LINK! Validate your cute saying.
MrOT has been bitten....possibly exactly twice by cute sayings in the past which proved to be the work of nefarious trolls. Good intentioned people passed the garbage on along and he bit unwisely.
Conservatives NEVER take cute graphics or full blown fact articles at face value without documentaiton.
Going one better....Why not spend more time ORIGINATING intellectual discussion. And for the consumers...why not spend more time DISCUSSING? If I could do one thing it would be to damn the LIKE button to hell. Say why you like something. Don't just click and feel like you accomplished something good.
Don't hate me Trin. I'm just the discouraged messenger. Why do I feel like most on here never got past the pretty graphic?
