What is the point of concealed carry? I’m not against it nor do I want gun control, but it seems like open carry would stop the crime before it happens (they leave and find an unarmed victim).

There’s an old saying… “An armed society is a polite society.” Back in the day you never knew when anyone… man or woman might have a pistol, knife or both. You didn’t tend to want to piss someone off knowing they could well just pull out a weapon and have at you.

Most criminals are like any other predator… they tend to go for the weak… sickly… those unable to defend themselves. Another great old saying… “God created man… Colonel Colt made men equal.”
Suddenly that weak looking individual merely draws their weapon and the predator thinks twice… often too late. Criminals generally don’t want a fight… they want an easy target so they can take what they want and get away before they are caught.
