So you want to know how you get a draft/conscription? You fail to meet your recruiting goals year over year and quarter over quarter. If the Army is below 17% for “glide slope” this means they are short 17% for the quarter. If this holds out for the summer, this will mean they will be down another 17% or more likely 25-30% for the remaining 2 quarters of FY-23. This means they will miss recruiting goals by almost 50% or 30,000 troops. Goal is approx 60k for FY23.
Army missed FY22 goals by 16,000 soldiers. So combined 22 and 23 could see shortfalls of 45 - 50k for the army alone. The Navy and the Air Force are not doing much better.
