NATO logistics center to be opened in Rzeszow to repair Ukrainian equipment - media
The construction of a NATO facility in Rzeszow, Poland, was discussed last month. Then the mayor of the city, Konrad Fiolek, in an interview announced the creation of an Alliance base with American, British and Canadian troops.
Polish and Canadian officials told The Globe and Mail that the facility is not a base, but rather a logistics and equipment repair center.
"We are going to set up a repair center in partnership with the US and the UK. We do not intend to have a large Canadian presence," the Canadian official said, adding that the main function of the center would be to repair Ukrainian equipment.
