"Safe": It Depends...

We never have been, hopefully never will be, completely "safe". "Safe" taken too far leads to totalitarian countries.

As I wrote for the introduction to my blog in 2006: "If life were meant to be boring, we would all be living in Disneyland and eating paste. But we chose otherwise. Enjoy and participate actively in this temporary escapade we call 'life'. Adventures are not meant to be spent lounging at the side of the road."

Knowing what we know about Disneyland now, that turned out to be rather prophetic. A "life" of ease has its prices.

Instead, we must be Eternally Vigilant, as America's Founders in various ways warned us. If President Trump, and his backers/supporters, are successful in getting us a second chance, let's not drop the ball--we might not get it back if we do.
