The 'poverty exodus' migrant caravan, consisting of 15,000 individuals from 24 countries, has left Southern Mexico for the US border

After 5 days of travel, the caravan has split into smaller groups and is currently in Mapastepec, Chiapas, Mexico since December 28th.

One in six infertile worldwide, WHO warns

One in six people worldwide are affected by infertility, pushing millions of hopeful parents into a “medical poverty trap” as treatment costs are so extortionate, the World Health Organization has warned.

In the UN agency’s first estimates of infertility prevalence in more than a decade, researchers found that around 17.5 per cent of the global population experience infertility, with similar rates across continents.

“The report reveals an important truth – infertility does not discriminate,” said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general at WHO.

Eventually, we're going to get to a point where automation is doing the vast majority of the jobs, and 3D-printing will become so advanced, that most products can be created instantly and for virtually no cost. At that point, money will serve no logical purpose, and the whole socialism/capitalism debate will become moot.

The problem is that this transition won't happen overnight, and we're going to be seeing drastic increases in poverty and unemployment during the interim.
